A virtual stage dive experience at E3 was built to support the release of Guitar Hero Live. After performing in front of the sea of convention attendees, participants were able to immortalize their rock-and-roll fantasy with a virtual stage dive. A stage was erected and fitted with two cameras which recorded jumps made by participants. The resulting videos were processed in near realtime, automatically rendering in an audience in place of the green screen pads.
